About Me
Jeon-Young Kang is an assistant professor at the Department of Geography, Kyung Hee University, Seoul and a chair of CyberInfrastructure Specialty Group (CISG) of the American Association of Geographers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Ms in Geography. He also obtained his PhD in GIScience from State University of New York at Buffalo, USA. His research lie broadly in GIScience, Geospatial BigData Analytics, GeoAI, through his work to date has been centered on spatial simulation modeling. He leverages high-performance computing power on the advanced cyberinfrastructure to discover geographic knowledge from spatial simulation. He has also been working on developing the color recommendation systems of maps for people with color vision deficiency.
