Marieke Kuijer is a geodata specialist at the Dutch Kadaster. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography and Planning, and a Master’s degree in Cultural Geography from the University of Groningen. She also followed a postgraduate certificate program in Geographical Information Science at VU Amsterdam. Marieke works on a variety of (European) projects like Euro Regional Map (ERM) and Open Maps for Europe 2 (OME2), often in a coordinating role. Currently, she's involved in a Dutch initiative focused on tactile mapping. She's enthusiastic about using GIS and topography to support projects that make a positive impact on society.
