Taisheng Chen, a professor of cartography at Suzhou University of Science and Technology in China, specializes in inclusive cartography, geographic information visualization, and map intelligence. He is a member of the ICA Working Group on Inclusive Cartography, the Cartography and Geographic Information System Committee of the Geographical Society of China, and the Virtual Geographic Environment Committee of the Chinese National Committee of the International Society for Digital Earth. Dr. Chen received his PhD from Nanjing Normal University, China. His research focuses on designing accessible maps for individuals with color vision deficiencies and improving spatial orientation for those with low spatial abilities. He developed and launched ColorBlindAI (https://colorblindai.com), a tool that helps map designers automatically generate accessible color schemes for individuals with color vision deficiencies, thereby facilitating the quick and effective creation of inclusive maps.
